Hello all:
Today I happened to use the w10 APP "Calculator"
I typed the calculator on the right-down " search windows" and then the calculator appeared. ...
After doing the calculation work, I tried to put an icon of the calculator on the desktop, failed!!
How to put an icon/shortcut of the "calculator" on the desktop???
Thanks! --- Zhao

Right click an empty spot of your desktop screen and select "New shortcut". When it asks you to type the location of the file either type or copy and paste this-
C:\Windows\System32\calc.exe
When it asks what to name the new shortcut use whatever pleases you. Calculator, etc

It is a builtin Windows program so it is in Windows\System32 like most of them are. For instance if you wanted a shortcut to Control Panel you would create a new shortcut and use the path C:\Windows\System32\control.exe
Or,you could browse around in Windows\System32 and find the app, right click and choose create shortcut. It will ask if you want it on desktop.
