Hp 14-Af115la
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello and good afternoon to all of you. I have upgraded the ram to my Hp 14-Af115la with an Amd A6-6310 Apu with r4 graphics from 4gb to 8gb. The problem that I have right now, is that altough the computer completely recognizes it. It only has 3.5GB of usable ram, and 4.5gb are hardware reserved for the radeon graphics. I want to acess the advanced bios settings to decrease the amount of Vram to the default 512mb but I'm finding absolutely no way to access it. It is using an Insyde f.13 rev 3.7 bios
I have tried to do Escape then f10 + a , I have also tried f9 then ctrl f1 and f10, and ctrlf10 then f10 again. I have also tried fn + tab then reboot. these are all the methods commonly shown on the internet on how to access this advanced tab. but none of these work. Can anyone help me with this?

Sorry, but apart from business notebooks and some high-end gaming PCs, accessing Advanced BIOS option on HP PCs is not possible.

Some OEMs lock out the advanced BIOS options to prevent customers from making changes to options that can destabilize or otherwise damage the PC -- and then send it back for repair under warranty claiming they did nothing to it.

I know only SOME of the advanced options are risky, but it's simpler to disable access to ALL advanced options than to allow/disallow on an individual option basis.

That's the course of action that HP has chosen. No one from here is going to provide you any means of getting around that.
