Hello, I just got this laptop at least less than a year ago. Lately it haven't been charging well, blinking orange whenever charged and it doesn't seem to be going up. Now, I realized there's an x symbol on the battery. I searched up some advice and it looks like I got the wrong advice of uninstalling both my Microsoft AC Adapter and Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery. I'm very new to computers and laptop. Now my laptop won't start up and whenever I charge it blinks alternatively orange, white, and blank.
How could I turn my laptop on and reinstall both of those? Please help, any method without another use of a computer or going to a repair shop. Thank you.

I am sorry, it seems my laptop is just low battery, therefore I couldn't boot it up. I can turn it on now, but please, how can I redownload those two and still fix my current issue with the x in the battery logo.

Hi @Komi00,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm glad to hear that you were able to turn your laptop back on! Since you uninstalled the Microsoft AC Adapter and Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, Windows should automatically reinstall them after a restart. However, if you're still seeing the battery "X" symbol and charging issues, try the following steps:
First, you can manually reinstall the battery drivers. Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager. Expand the Batteries section and check if both the Microsoft AC Adapter and Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery are listed. If they're missing, click on Action in the top menu and select Scan for hardware changes to let Windows reinstall them. If that doesn’t work, click on View and select Show hidden devices to see if they appear. After that, restart your laptop and see if the issue is resolved.
If that doesn't help, you might want to reset your laptop. Shut it down completely, unplug the charger, and if possible, remove the battery. Hold the power button for 30 seconds to drain any residual power. Then, reinsert the battery (if it's removable), plug in the charger, and turn the laptop back on.
Lastly, you can run HP Hardware Diagnostics. Turn off the laptop, press the Esc key repeatedly while turning it back on, and then select F2 for System Diagnostics. Run the Battery Test under Component Tests to check the battery health.
Let me know if any of these steps don't work or if you encounter any issues!
Take care and have a good day.
