How to download an operating system on new hard drive.

HP Recommended
Pavillion 15

I put a new hard drive on my notebook and it is not working. Says Boot Device not found.

Please install an operating system on your hard disk.

Hi:

What is the full model number or product number of your notebook?

Use this guide to find that information...please do not post the serial number.

What version of Windows do you need to reinstall?  W7, W8.1, W10?

Yes.

Post the model number or product number, and let me know what operating system you need to reinstall.
