HP ENVY Notebook - 17-n186ng (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

How can I download recovery media for this notebook?

I already tried the cloud recovery tool, but it tells me my product ID is invalid.

I also tried to reinstall via a USB created with Microsoft's media creation tool, but it does not bring the laptop to a usable state (blue screen after windows update tries to run)

I also checked with HP UEFI recovery and Memtest86+ to rule out hardware issues. Both the extensive test and memory tests passed without giving any errors.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Nevermind. The issue turned out to be the SSD failing. Replaced it and all seems good now.
