Hi:
Below is the link to the product specs for your notebook.
HP Notebook - 15-r121nx Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support
It is slow because:
It comes with a Intel Pentium N3540 processor. You need to have an Intel core processor i5 or better, to have any kind of processing performance.
The processor cannot be upgraded without replacing the system board.
It only has 2 GB of memory...the bare minimum to run a 64 bit operating system.
It has a slow 5,400 RPM mechanical hard drive.
If you maxed out the memory by removing the 2 GB memory chip, and replaced it with an 8 GB memory chip and replaced the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" solid state drive, that would help quite a bit.
Factory resetting the notebook will not make it any faster.
You can watch this video for how to factory reset your notebook...

Thank you for your fast reply.
My question is if i down graded my OS from Windows10 to Windows, Do you think it would help in any to make it a little bit faster, i mean the response time for opening tabs and windows. I think the windows10 is making this laptop slow.
I really appreciate your help.

You're very welcome,
I don't believe that going back to W8.1 64 bit will make much of a difference.
Since we don't know how the PC was upgraded to W10, you may not be able to factory reset it.
If you can use the F11 HP recovery manager option, as shown in the video, you should get W8.1 64 bit again if the PC was upgraded from W8.1 to W10 and never had W10 clean installed afterward.
You can always download the 64 bit version of W8.1 your PC came with ('Standard' or Single Language), make your own plain W8.1 installation media and clean install W8.1.
Check the system information screen in the Windows control panel for the version of W10 that's installed.
If it just indicates W10 Home, then you download the plain W81. 64 bit ISO file.
If it indicates W10 Home Single Language, then you download the W8.1 Single Language 64 bit ISO file.
You can download the file from the link below.
Download Windows 8.1 Disc Image (ISO File) (microsoft.com)
Use the Microsoft tool that I zipped up and attached below that you will need to transfer the ISO file to a DVD or USB flash drive so that it is bootable.
After W8.1 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

You can always upgrade back to W10 for free if you want by clicking on the blue Update Now button at the link below from the W8.1 desktop.

Wow! You are really good at this!.
Thank you very much!.
I will follow your instructions and i hope to do it right. I just need my laptop to get a little bit faster on the response time.
In any case i will just ask here if any problems will occur along the way.
Thank you again!
