HP Pavilion 15-bc001nm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, since I have not received any feedback from HP support via WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger, I have to turn to this community.

Since I got a new laptop, I want to restore my HP Pavilion 15-bc001nm to factory defaults so I can give it to my mom as a gift.
Unfortunately, the recovery partition is no longer present on the hard disk, so nothing happens when I press F11 during the boot process. When I want to use the cloud restore, it says I need to contact HP support.

Can someone please help me get my laptop back to factory settings?

Hi:

That model came with FreeDOS 2.0, not Windows 10.

You need to print out the installed product key and clean install Windows 10.

You can use the free Showkey plus app to get the product key you used to install Windows when you purchased the notebook.

You can also add a generic user account, make it an administrator, log out of your account, log into the other user account and delete your user account which should delete your files and whatnot.
