Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Need a system image for laptop.  Recent hard drive failure and replaced hard drive but need a factory image to re-install onto new hard drive.  Laptop purchased directly from HP.  No disk in original shipment.  How do I go about getting a copy of my Windows 10 OS.

Hi:

 

You can make your own plain W10 installation media by using the media creation tool at the link below.

 

The product key in your notebook's BIOS will work with the file.

 

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

 

Then go to your notebook's support page to install the drivers and available software you need.

 

If you want recovery media from HP, then you may be able to order it from your specific model's support page, under the W10 driver section.

Sorry for the delay in responding, had to wait to recieve new HD and complete install.  But the solution worked perfectly.  Just a hassle digging thru the drivers selection.  Thanks for the help.  This was exactly what I was looking for.
