Hi @BenN13,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

HP's policy on advanced BIOS settings, including locks, is generally designed to protect the BIOS from unauthorised modification and to ensure system security. Access to advanced BIOS settings in InsydeH20 BIOS (such as version F.37 used in many HP laptops) is intentionally restricted on consumer devices.

This is by design and cannot be bypassed or unlocked through a hidden key combination or software. HP does not provide an "Advanced BIOS" mode or support unlocking it, and any attempt to do so (e.g., modding the BIOS) would:

  • Void your warranty, and
  • Potentially brick your system.

What You Can Access in BIOS:
Within the BIOS, you can typically adjust:

  • Boot order
  • Secure Boot / Legacy Boot
  • TPM (on supported systems)
  • Virtualisation (VTx, if enabled in the configuration)
  • Fan always-on (on some models)

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
