Chromebook - 14-db0500sa 6530
Chrome OS

Hello everyone

I need to log a warranty repair for a broken Chromebook but HP have seemingly made this process impossible (and it feels deliberately so);

The Support page shows our device, confirms warranty but only offers links if we bought at Currys (which we didn't) or to this forum.

Virtual agent can't check warranty info (despite HP website confirming it's under warranty) and if I proceed anyway then I just end up back at the Support page.

Telephone support options (after so many menu choices) come down to being sent a text for a WhatsApp conversation.

Although the Chromebook is owned by a school we don't have a business account.

Isn't there a simple email/web form somewhere to raise a ticket?

(apologies if posted to wrong board but I couldn't find a 'general' one)

Any help gratefully received.

Hi,

if you identify the notebook in the link below does it not give the chat option?

Let me know,

Thanks David

It gives me the option of chatting with virtual agent, which reports "can't confirm warranty" and when I click on 'proceed anyway' offers three options; pay for telephone support, link to Currys/PC world if we bought from them, or link to this forum.

Hm. I will tag this post and let's see if someone will intervene and help out. It could take a little while.
