I'm trying to make my processor be visible on my computer for the Windows 11 update. When I pull up my settings, the processor name is blank and so the Windows 11 update says my system is ineligible due to my processor. I have looked up my processor and it is eligible. I've tried the device manager troubleshoot method and also another method but neither one worked. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Your PC's Intel® Core i3-7300 processor is not on the list of those that meet Microsoft's minimum W11 processor requirements.

For an Intel PC you need an Intel 8th generation core processor.

If you want to install W11 on your PC as is, you can but you would have to use a workaround that bypasses the W11 hardware checks so you can do it.

If you are happy with your PC, and if you are interested in doing an in-place upgrade from W10 to W11, watch this video:

Thank you for responding and offering your advice. It's greatly appreciated. However, I want to inform you that my processor is actually Intel Core i3-7100U @ 2.40GHz which is an approved processor according to the list I've read from the Windows website.

You're very welcome.

That processor is not a W11 supported processor either.

Look at the link I posted.

You're probably looking at the W10 list of supported processors

No way you can do an in-place upgrade to W11 with the i3-7100U processor.

Yes. You're absolutely correct. I was looking at the wrong list. Again, I appreciate the help.

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.
