The problem is that I've erased all of the data on my HP Compaq NW9440, and now I am really sorry about that.. So I want to restore this notebook to its original state, but i don't know where its recovery disc, or if it actually exist. I was trying to install all of the software supplied on the HP Support website, it worked, but only barely (now it lacks HP CD-DVD Recovery Creator and HP Diagnostic software). I was trying to get a new disc from HP Support Center directly, but they said that term for granting a Recovery disc has expired.
I have its Serial and Product number, Windows XP Product key and all of the documentation that come with this notebook.
How can I actually restore all of the software, or I'm toasted? I will appreciate any ideas...

Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
Sorry, but I don't have very good news for you ...
HP stopped carrying Recovery Media for XP machine years ago.
You can try these other sites, but I doubt they will still have it:
http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/
Good Luck

Recovery media tends to be make and model specific, so media for a different PC will most likely NOT work on yours.
The tool creates Recovery Media in the form of CDs and/or DVDs on older PCs; on newer PCs, it creates USB sticks.
