Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hello All,

 

I have the HP Laptop with me whose Windows got corrupted. Now, When I am trying to reinstall the windows. I dont the have windows product key with me. But I have the recovery disc with me. Can somebody please suggest how to recover the windows key? My product is out of warranty. Kindly advise

Need  to know if you trying to reinstall Win8.1 or Win10 -- it makes a difference.
