@BonyT, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP PC!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand how frustrating this must be, especially when you just want to log in and get things running. But don’t worry—I’m here to help you step by step! 😊
The error Hard Disk 1 Quick (303) means that your hard drive is failing or has already failed. Since your laptop keeps going into Automatic Repair, the system is struggling to load Windows due to this issue.
Let’s try a few things to confirm and possibly fix this:
Run a UEFI Hardware Diagnostic Test
Since you’ve already tried a Hard Disk Quick Test, let’s go one step further and do an Extensive Test to double-check the health of your hard drive.
- Turn off your laptop completely.
- Turn it back on and immediately start pressing the Esc key repeatedly (about once per second).
- You should see the Startup Menu. Press F2 to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
- Select Component Tests > Hard Drive > Extensive Test and let it run.
- If the test fails again with a 303 or similar error, the hard drive is definitely failing and needs to be replaced. 😔
Try to Back Up Your Data (If Possible)
If your laptop still boots into Safe Mode even once, try backing up your important files as soon as you can. You can use:
- An external hard drive
- A USB flash drive
- Cloud storage like Google Drive or OneDrive
If you can’t access Safe Mode, you can try booting from a Windows 10 recovery USB (you may need another working PC to create this).
Let me know how it goes!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
