I haven't logged into my laptop in ages, so naturally I forgot my password. My aptop is an Hp stream. I tried to reset my password, but the phone number I have hooked up to the account is a house phone, and there is no call option, only text. This doesn't work because it's a house phone and you can't receive texts. I still tried it though but it didn't work. Then I tried to do account recoverv, twice, and was rejected both time. I have a ton of emails and devices and can't keep my nformation straight on what's hooked up to what, so it's understandable if mixed my information up. I have tried multiple different password attempts and even tried to make a password reset drive, but that didn't work either. I tried to full on wipe everything off and factory reset it but it says I don't have enough disc space, but I can't log in to
my laptop to clear room off of my disc! What can I do?!

You'll have to reinstall Windows.

Using another Windows PC, make a bootable USB installation flash drive with the applicable Microsoft media creation tool from the links below.

Download Windows 10

Download Windows 11

Boot from the Windows installation media you made and when you get to the part of the installation that asks, 'Where do you want to install Windows,' delete every partition on the drive, leaving just one partition of unallocated space.

Click Next and Windows will install.
