My Chromebook was purchased at swap meet and brought home. It says it is locked by school administrator. I've tried to hard reset it, but I'm still having no luck. Any ideas for a different way? Thanks

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

 

I see that you are facing an issue with your Chromebook that is locked.

Please follow the steps below to fix the issue.

 

  • Unplug from mains power and perform a Hardware Reset
  • Settings > Advanced > Restore settings to their original defaults in case an extension is interfering
  • Powerwash in case your profile has become corrupted
  • Recovery to ensure your OS is pristine.
