Hi @JTIPHS ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Spectre X360 laptop is falling asleep when you put it into tablet mode, you might want to check and adjust your power settings. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do that:
Open Power & Sleep Settings:
- Click on the Start menu and select "Settings" (gear-shaped icon).
- Go to "System" and then click on "Power & Sleep."
Change Additional Power Settings:
- Look for and click on "Additional power settings" on the right side of the Power & Sleep settings.
Choose a Power Plan:
- In the Power Options window, you will see your active power plan. Click on "Change plan settings" next to your selected plan.
Change Advanced Power Settings:
- In the next window, click on "Change advanced power settings."
Adjust Sleep Settings:
- In the Advanced settings tab, look for "Sleep" in the list.
- Expand the "Sleep" option, and you'll see settings for "On battery" and "Plugged in."
- Set both options under "Sleep" to a value that suits your preferences. You can set it to "Never" if you don't want your laptop to sleep in tablet mode.
Apply Changes:
- Click "Apply" and then "OK" to save your changes.
After making these adjustments, your laptop should no longer go to sleep when in tablet mode. Keep in mind that modifying power settings can affect your laptop's battery life, so choose settings that balance your preferences with your usage patterns.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
