I dónt know what are your machines and their Operating System. The easiest way is to copy files from 1 machine to USB stick and use that USB tick on other machine.

Just received a  HP Notebook 17-by0xxx  and would like to transfer my files from an old HP Notebook purchased in 2014. Is there a way to do this without having to download everything onto a USB flash drive and upload to the new notebook? 

 

Help.  I'm not very computer savvy.  Thanks
