Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to Factory reset the computer. I need help with unlocking the drive where Windows is located, and I can not restore the window operating system. I bought the computer used.

HP Recommended

If you have admin access, open an administrator prompt and type “chkdsk /f” and reboot the machine. An offline scan will happen and if something is wrong will be corrected.

 

If you windows can’t even boot you need to physically put it on another computer for a attempt to recover the data and formatting it.

 

If your Windows installation is corrupted, you need to use secondary PC to download and create a USB boot media.
