My laptop can become extremely hot if plugged in the charger and it will overheat and crash if I don't "help" it.
It seems that the moment I flip the screen like a tablet the fans start. They do not start if the laptop is sitting in a normal state like any regular laptop. I must flip it and open it all the way 360 degrees to make it start ventilating itself...
I can only think this is due to a bios issue so I want to update the bios but I can't find out how.
My current bios is BIOS Version/Date AMI F.26, 7/9/2021
Which seems very old...
How do I update it? All my windows updates are done and there are no available updates on the HP website.

Please use HPSA to check and install new BIOS (if available). No special BIOS for Windows 11, you can install F.28 BIOS dated on on the following link
Type: BIOS
Version: F.28 Rev.A
Operating systems: Windows 10 (64-bit)
Release date: Aug 31, 2022
File name: sp142153.exe (22.3 MB)
Regards.

Thanks for the answer,
So there is no available BIOS update in the support assistant.
I do have windows 11 so I can't get the windows 10 BIOS update you suggested to get manually.
If there is no BIOS update, what can I do so the fan starts by itself when needed while the laptop is in its regular position (90 degrees) ?
