If you already have a license key for Pro it is as simple as changing your current key. If you don't have a license yet it is a few more steps. Either way is pretty simple-no reinstalling Windows.

Last time I checked, Win10 Enterprise was only LEGALLY available through commercial channels -- companies that have volume licenses and make those available to their employees.

Enterprise uses an entirely different licensing vehicle than do Home and Pro; so, I don't believe an Upgrade is possible.

To have Enterprise on it, I believe you would require your company IT department to do a clean install with their licensed product manager.

I have never tried that process but the article is by Ed Bott who is a long time tech writer.

The article has a majr "catch"!

You must have a GENUINE old Windows Pro product key lying around -- and most folks don't have those because if they had Win7 or Win8x "pro" PCs, they used up those product keys upgrading to Win10.

So, the article is misleading -- as it implies you're getting something special for free, when in fact, this is only leveraging the Free Win10 Upgrade process that MS has been running for over two years now.
