Hi @SDAS4,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you want to upgrade your HP 14s-cf3028TU laptop from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and are concerned about your Microsoft Office Home & Student working after the upgrade. Let’s go through the details and steps.

a. Check System Compatibility

Press Windows + I → System → About to confirm system specifications.

Windows 11 requires:

Processor: 1 GHz or faster, 2+ cores (64-bit)

RAM: 4 GB or more

Storage: 64 GB or more

TPM 2.0 & Secure Boot enabled

You can also run the PC Health Check app from Microsoft to confirm eligibility.

b. Backup Important Data

Before upgrading, backup all important files to OneDrive, an external drive, or another cloud storage.

This ensures no data loss if anything goes wrong during the upgrade.

c. Upgrade via Windows Update

Open Settings → Update & Security → Windows Update.

Click Check for updates.

If Windows 11 is available for your device, you will see an Upgrade to Windows 11 option.

Click Download and Install, and follow on-screen instructions.

d. Microsoft Office Compatibility

Office Home & Student 2019/2021 or Microsoft 365 is fully compatible with Windows 11.

After the upgrade, your Office installation should work normally without needing reinstallation.

If you encounter any issues, running Office repair from Control Panel usually resolves them.

I hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍
