My HP 2000-2c23dx Notebook Laptop is extremely slow, but after using crucial.com, I learned that I have 81% of free space on my hard drive and my RAM is empty! What should I do to make my laptop not as slow?
My laptop is running the latest version of Windows 10 (64 bit), I bought it in May 2013 (originally Windows 8, 64 bit), and I have used "System Recovery" twice along the years.
edit: i have deleted everything i have ever installed besides google chrome, avast, origin (video game thing) and the sims 4 as well as mods for the game. i even deleted all of my personal files (i uploaded them to my google drive and a USB stick).

I have a similar model and it was slow for me to. I ended up reinstalling Windows on it manually and it seems much faster now but im sure that is not an option. Since this machine has upgradable Ram and HDD i would suggest upgrading from 4GB of Ram to 8GB of Ram. This can make the laptop run faster but it will only help so much. Another option is replacing the HDD with an SSD. If you want the specs just look for DDR3 Laptop Ram and a 2.5 in SSD SATA 3. This can help speed up the machine but the laptop is limited by the AMD E1-1200 CPU. I do not believe it is upgradable.
