HP Chromebook x360. I deleted my email address and now I can't get back on. Can I load it from my PC?

@526127, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Chromebook!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I can imagine how frustrating it feels to be locked out of your Chromebook right after removing your Google account. Don’t worry, we’ll get you back in. 🌱

A Chromebook always needs a Google account to sign in. Since you deleted your old one, you’ll need to set it up fresh:

Here’s what you can try:

Restart your Chromebook – when it boots up, it should stop at the login screen and give you the option to “Add person” or “Use another account.” Enter the new Gmail address there.

No Google account yet? Create a new Gmail account on your PC or phone at accounts.google.com. Then use those credentials to sign into the Chromebook.

If it keeps looping or not letting you in – you may need to do a Powerwash (factory reset):

Turn off the Chromebook.

Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R, then press Restart.

Select “Powerwash”“Continue”.

Once it resets, it’ll ask you to sign in with any Google account.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
