i was trying to download windows my cloud recovery tool...but it says product id is not valid...
still have 31 months warranty and it is hp elitebook 840 g8 please help me

Hi:
Are you using the right version of the tool?
There is one for consumer class PC's and one for business class PC's.
You need the tool for the business class PC's, and you enter your notebook's serial number.
This package provides the Cloud Recovery Client for supported computer models using a supported operating system. This Client Utility enables users to download the Recovery Kit from the cloud.

i tried as u said... but no luck... i do not use any proxy server it tels me to insert information about proxy... even when i insert product id on this web page its not valid again

You're very welcome.
The website link you posted is not the right place to enter the serial number for your notebook.
You need to download and run the executable file link I posted.
That is the correct link for your notebook.

When you run the tool, you enter the notebook's serial number, not the product number.
If you are having issues downloading the above file, I have zipped it up and attached it below.
