Hello. I officially bought my Hp elitebook x360 1030 g2 on Ebay. I have documents from Ebay platform too, of course. It has worlwide warranty for 8 months yet. When I try to run BIOS it asks for a password... How can I reset this password? I live in Belarus and I don't have ANY official service center HP here. And your specialist recommend me to go in Moscow or Kaliningrad. But it is located almost 1000 km from my location!  Not so much time ago you sent SMC file for resetting BIOS password, but now you privacy policy was changed, as I know... Guys, I paid a lot of money for your laptop, so I am waiting reasonable solution...

Hi:

 

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to help you, since HP will no longer supply the required SMC.bin file that is used to clear the BIOS password.

 

That was the only way it could be done.

Also the forum rules were amended on 1 March 2019, which no longer allow us to help with removing passwords.
