Hp laptop is not letting me click on anything.

Error message is Element not found and when i boot up it takes about an hour to boot up and when i finally log in i try to click anything the screen flashes purple then goes back to the desktop screen with nothing i clicked on loaded up. Start button? Nope purple screen bam back to screen where all my icons are at 

Open Google? Nope back again. Idk what to do i tried resetting laptop to factory settings and it said there was an issue resetting your pc click okay i tried putting it into safe mode to reset to factory again nothing. Please someone help
