Hi:
Is there a reason you want to keep the windows.old folder?
You can easily delete the entire windows.old folder by running the disk cleanup utility.
When the utility gets to the window, click on the cleanup system files button on the lower left side of the window.
The utility will run again and when it gets to the window, check all of the boxes.
One of them will be the windows.old folder and everything will be deleted.
If you want to keep the windows.old folder use a 3rd party file unlocking program.
I use this one do delete stubborn files that won't delete.

About Disk Cleanup utility, it did job earlier when i removed all remanants of windows.old throught it, But my issue is that i can not "DELETE EMPTY FOLDERS" . And that unlocker wasn't able to do anything as it showed same issue that " OBJECT CAN NOT BE DELETED" .
When i saw that empty folder in windows.old , i tried to delete it but it refused , then i moved it in another new folder created on desktop, and again it refused to do so. Please help!!!

If that unlocker program can't delete the file, then I have no other ideas for you to try.
I have gotten that message from the unlocker program that the file can't be deleted until I restart the PC.
But I have never restarted the PC and have the file not be gone.
