Hi @GILIMON,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out. We understand how stressful it is when BIOS information (such as Serial Number, Product Number/SKU, Model, UUID) shows as “generic” or “missing.” Below is the official HP guidance to safely restore the BIOS and, where required, have the correct product identifiers re‑programmed.

1) First: Recover the BIOS (official HP methods)

If the BIOS image itself is corrupted or partially updated, please try HP BIOS Recovery. This can restore a working BIOS so the system can boot and allow further service steps.

Method A: Manual Recovery (Win + B)

  1. Power the notebook off completely.
  2. Connect the AC adapter.
  3. Press and hold the Windows key + B, then press the Power button for ~2–3 seconds.
  4. Release the Power button, keep holding Win + B until a beep or the HP BIOS Recovery screen appears.
  5. Follow the on‑screen wizard to complete recovery.

Method B: Recovery USB (created from HP package)

  1. On another Windows PC, open your product’s driver page and download the BIOS Update SoftPaq for your ENVY x360.
  2. Run the package and select Create Recovery USB flash drive.
  3. Insert the USB in your notebook and start Win + B recovery (as above) so the system uses the USB image.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
