Product: Pavillion x360
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After over a year i keep getting a message to activate windows. I purchased it with windows 10 pro. The message says it located a windows 10 home operating system that must be activated. I have tried everything i can think of. Does HP have a time limit on their licensing?

Hi:

 

If your PC came from HP with any Windows 10 operating system, the product key should be in the BIOS.

 

Install the free Showkey Plus app from the Microsoft store and it show you two product keys...

 

The installed product key and the OEM product key in the BIOS as well as the version the OEM key is good for.

 

Get ShowKeyPlus - Microsoft Store

 

If you do not see an OEM product key in the BIOS, there is a good chance that HP installed the wrong motherboard in your PC for the models that come with FreeDOS, which don't have Windows product keys in the BIOS.

 

If you see an OEM product key, change the installed key to the OEM product key in the PC settings menu>activation, and see if W10 activates that way.
