Hi @Gowtham20, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Your touchpad issue is likely due to driver incompatibility after upgrading to Windows 11. HP Notebook - 15g-dr0006tx supports up to Windows 10.

You can try the following solutions:

1️⃣ Check Windows Update for Drivers

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update > Advanced Options > Optional Updates.
  • If you see a touchpad-related driver, install it and restart your laptop.

2️⃣ Reinstall Touchpad Driver (Windows 10 Version)

Even though the HP website provides only a Windows 10 driver, you can still install it in compatibility mode:

  1. Download the Windows 10 touchpad driver from HP’s support page.
  2. Right-click on the downloaded file and select Properties.
  3. Go to the Compatibility tab, check Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select Windows 10.
  4. Click Apply and OK, then install the driver.

3️⃣ Enable Touchpad in BIOS

Sometimes, BIOS updates or changes might disable the touchpad:

  1. Restart your laptop and press F10 to enter the BIOS.
  2. Look for Advanced Settings > Internal Pointing Device.
  3. Make sure it is Enabled, then save and exit.

4️⃣ Check Device Manager

  1. Press Win + X > Select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Human Interface Devices or Mice and other pointing devices.
  3. Look for the Synaptics/ELAN/Precision Touchpad driver.
    • If there’s a yellow warning icon, right-click and select Update driver.
    • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
  4. If that doesn’t work, uninstall the driver and restart your laptop.

5️⃣ Try Generic Windows Touchpad Driver

  1. Open Device Manager > Right-click on the touchpad device.
  2. Select Update Driver > Browse my computer for drivers.
  3. Click Let me pick from a list of available drivers.
  4. Select HID-compliant touchpad or PS/2 Compatible Mouse and install it.

6️⃣ Check for Windows Updates and BIOS Update

  • Install all Windows updates.
  • Check HP support website for a BIOS update.
