I can't boot to recovery media from HP DVD-RW Drive HP GUE1N.  I tried UEFI, LEGACY, disabling secure boot.  clearing all the security keys from BIOS.  I ensured that CDROM Boot is enabled in BIOS.  I specified to boot from DVD drive.  It says, "press any key to boot from DVD...."  I press a key......it acts like it's going to boot from DVD.  DVD spins and makes noises.  System idles for a while.  Windows goes to a blue screen with an error, "Your system/device needs to be repaired.  error code Oxc000185.  It's a brand new DVD drive.  Driver is most recent.  DVD drive works perfectly in Windows 10.

I have the most recent BIOS update installed from HP.  It is version F.52.  I also tried booting from an external USB DVD Drive and I get the same error.  I can however boot from a USB Flash Drive without issues.  I tried repairing the BCD files and MBR.  I also tried automatic repair on the main hard drive which did not find any issues.  In addition I performed a chkdsk /f /r on the drive and did not find any issues.  I also ran sfc /scannow and did not find any integrity violations in the OS.  Dism /online /cleanup-image /restore health did not correct the problem.  I cannot find any newer firmware for my DVD drive.
