I provided all information required and it tells me "We were unable to find drivers for your product."  and "Try manually selecting your operating system." Hi:

HP retires support for consumer class PC's that are 10 or more years old.

That is why you can't find any drivers for your PC.

This reputable 3rd party driver website should have the drivers you need.

This model has an Intel processor and chipset like yours.

Download HP Pavilion dv6-2111tx drivers for Windows 7, BIOS (helpjet.net)

Geez... Thanks for the help... Are you 100% sure about this? Is HP basically kicking away (in the butt) all the poor people who can't afford new laptops?

You're very welcome.

I am 100% sure that is HP's policy regarding consumer class PC support.

You can see the statement at the bottom of this link...

| HP® Customer Support

Typically, HP stops supporting most products after 10 years. To find out if your product is no longer supported, please check the list of retired products.

Click on the link next to that statement to see the list of retired products no longer supported...

Here is the list for your model series...

  • HP Pavilion dv5-1000 Entertainment Notebook PC series
  • HP Pavilion dv5-1100 Entertainment Notebook PC series
  • HP Pavilion dv5-1200 Entertainment Notebook PC series
  • HP Pavilion dv5-1100 Special Edition Entertainment Notebook PC series

  • HP Pavilion dv5-1300 Entertainment Notebook PC series
  • HP Pavilion dv5-2000 Entertainment Notebook PC series
  • HP Pavilion dv5-2100 Entertainment Notebook PC series

I also am not happy that HP discontinued support for products over 10 years old.

Some of us like to run old equipment just for the fun of it, and without an easy way to find drivers, it is next to impossible to do so.

But it is what it is.
