Product: HP Laptop PC 15-dy2000 (2D115AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 in S Mode

I attempted to update the Windows 10 S mode that came with my laptop when I purchased it a year ago, with the new Windows 11 Home version upgrade that was suggested. The update was successful in regards to now using Windows 11, however, the update installed windows 11 'in S mode' and now I can't figure out how to switch 0ut of S mode at all!  (S mode only allows for app downloads that are exclusive to the Microsoft Store. I need to install several 3rd party apps not in the Microsoft Store.  I need help from someone who knows what they're doing!)

Please see this link for how to switch out of S-mode.

 

Switching out of S mode in Windows - Microsoft Support

 

You cannot return to S-mode once you switch out unless you use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive to factory reset your notebook.
