I have an HP Victus 15-fa0024ua. I can't install Windows OS. When I make a bootable USB flash drive with Windows 11, Rufus automatically selects the NTFS file system (since Windows weighs more than 4 GB) and there is no button to split the iso file. Also, this laptop does not support the NTFS file system, it only supports FAT32. When I downloaded the Windows 10 iso file and selected the FAT32 file system, the installation started, but an error appeared saying “The required media driver was not found” and the installer does not see the flash drive or SSD. I downloaded the Intel RST F6 Floppy Driver to another flash drive, but when I selected the folder during installation, the installer still did not see this driver. I tried all the options. Next, I decided to install Windows 11 using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool. I ran the program as an administrator, inserted a 64 GB flash drive, BUT then an error appeared when I entered the product ID: “The product ID does not match or is incorrect.” Even though I entered the ProdID correctly. Please help me resolve this issue and install Windows 10 or 11 on this laptop.

@mnhl,

Since your notebook came with FreeDOS 3.0, HP Cloud Recovery Tool wouldn't be supported.

You can follow the steps below to install Intel RST drivers on your notebook with an Intel Core 12th gen processor.

1. Create a Windows installation usb drive with Microsoft Media Creation Tool, which tends to be more trouble free than ISO file-based installation usb drives during the IRST driver installation.

2. Download Intel RST driver from the link below. Run it as administrator and follow the on-screen instructions to perform the driver extraction.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp146501-147000/sp146929.exe

3. Go to C:\SWSetup\sp146929. Double click the sp146929 folder and copy the F6 folder to the root directory of a Windows installation usb drive. The F6 folder contains IRST drivers which the installation setup needs in order to detect the storage drive.

4. Connect the usb drive to the notebook and boot the system from the usb drive. When asked where to install Windows, click on Load Driver -> Browse -> the usb drive in the window that opens -> the F6 folder -> OK.

5. Multiple .inf driver files may be displayed. Select one and click Next. If no driver files are displayed, uncheck the box on the bottom left corner of the screen to display drivers. Find and select an 'iaStorVD.inf ' file and click Next to load the driver.

6. The storage drive may be displayed with multiple partitions. Delete each of all the partitions, and when you just see unallocated space, click Next to proceed the installation.
