I have recently updated my laptop and now i can't open the settings. It was a minor update and the task manager also got slow. What is the solution as i have tried refreshing laptop from the update assistant.

@Dhruv7, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
There are different ways to open Windows settings as mentioned below:
-
Click the Start icon and select Settings.
-
Click the Start icon, type Settings, and select the app from the list
-
Right-click the Start icon and select Settings from the menu
-
Press the Windows and I keys together simultaneously
If you are still not able to open Settings windows, Run a System File Check on your operating system. Open a command prompt/PowerShell with administrator rights, type sfc /scannow, and then press Enter. Once the file check completes, attempt to open Settings.
Download and run the Windows Update Troubleshooter
If the issue persists, log in as another user with administrator rights. If you can open the Settings app in that account, create a new user account for yourself and delete the old account
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
