I tried installing Linux on my old laptop that had not been in use for a while. However, when I attempted to boot from my bootable drive, I received an error message that read "boot image did not authenticate." I then tried disabling the secure boot, but after saving the settings, my screen went blank. When I pressed the "Escape" key, the computer unexpectedly shut down. Additionally, it's worth noting that since my laptop screen was broken, I unplugged it, making my monitor the primary one.
