Windows "is not responding" when I attempt to get an article from the laptop thru to the printer and HP Desk Jet 2500 series.  I have  tried using wireless and a usb port.  Also I am told I have no  articles in the queue to print even though I have pushed the print button severeal times.

Greetings!

Welcome to the HP Community. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries. I have reviewed your post and I understand, you are unable to print from your Windows 10 computer.

Don't worry, I'm here to help! To better assist you -

1) What's the exact model name of the printer? Refer to this link for steps to find the product details. (Ensure not to share the serial number, email, phone number, etc.)

Note - HP Deskjet D2500 Printer series does not support wireless printing. Refer to the specs page to know more.

2) Are you getting any error?

3) Were there any hardware or software changes made?

Let me know.

Hi Jean,

You can try to restart the computer, printer, and router to resolve any error states present during the printer setup.

NOTE:
The following steps temporarily disconnect network and Internet connections, and require restarting your computer. Complete any tasks or downloads in progress before continuing.
  1. Disconnect the power cord from the router.
  2. Turn off the printer.
  3. Close all running programs on your computer, including the HP software installation window, then shut down the computer.
  4. Reconnect the power cord to the router, then wait for the Internet activity light to display a normal connected status.
  5. Turn on the printer.
  6. Turn on the computer.
  7. Try installing the HP driver and software again.

Hope this is helpful.
