I cannot use the fingerprint sensor

The device keeps on promting me with the error message that "No finger print sensor that supports Windows Hello could be found"

Many times, in fact, most of the time, the Fingerprint reader is an optional purchase.

If the computer does not have an actual fingerprint reader sensor, it might still have a same-color blank cover box where the fingerprint reader would have been located.

Check your Device Manager --

If the Device Manager finds a working fingerprint reader in the hardware, the reader will be listed in Biometric devices.

IF the Device Manager finds the fingerprint reader,

Then it is worth checking whether you need a driver / software for the reader.

If the Device Manager does not find a fingerprint reader,

and

If your computer series offers the fingerprint reader as an optional feature,

Look to your Service and Maintenance Guide for a part number and instructions to install the reader into your computer.
