Hi @mb2013,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the account access issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Verify User Credentials:

  • Ensure that you are entering the correct username and password. Remember that passwords are case-sensitive.

Login As Built-in Admin:

  • If available, try logging in using the built-in Admin account provided by HP with the default password, which is typically "Admin."

Password Reset:

  • If you've forgotten the password of the created admin account, you might need to reset the password through the operating system's password recovery options.

Use Safe Mode:

  • Start your computer in Safe Mode and attempt to log in. Safe Mode might enable you to access the admin account if a standard boot does not.

Check Account Status:

  • If you have access to another administrative account, check if the problem account is locked or disabled in the user account management settings.

Use Recovery Options:

  • Explore recovery options in your operating system's boot menu to troubleshoot and potentially recover the user account access.

Restore System:

  • If none of the above steps work, consider restoring your system to a previous state where the issue was not present. Be aware that this may result in the loss of data created after the restore point.

I hope this helps.
