Hi @pola55,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To update the BIOS on your HP laptop running Windows 11, follow these steps.

Check HP Support Website: Go to the HP Support website and enter your laptop model number. This will give you access to the latest BIOS updates specifically for your device.

Download BIOS Update: Download the BIOS update package that matches your laptop model and the version of Windows (in this case, Windows 11).

Prepare for Installation:

  • Ensure your laptop is plugged into a power source throughout the update process.
  • Close all applications and save your work before proceeding.

Run the BIOS Update:

  • Double-click the downloaded BIOS update file to begin the installation.
  • Follow any on-screen instructions provided by the BIOS update utility.

Restart Your Laptop: After the update completes, your laptop will typically restart automatically to apply the changes.

Verify the Update: Once your laptop restarts, you can verify that the BIOS update was successful by checking the BIOS version in the BIOS setup utility. You can access this by restarting your laptop and pressing a specific key (often Esc, F1, F2, or Del) during startup to enter BIOS settings.

Note: Ensure you follow all instructions carefully, as improper BIOS updates can potentially harm your laptop.

By keeping your BIOS updated, you can ensure compatibility with newer hardware and software, as well as potential performance and security improvements.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
