Hi @Rhugger
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
You can reset your HP laptop running Windows 7 without a password using HP Recovery Manager or Windows Recovery Environment. Here’s how:
Method 1: Using HP Recovery Manager
- Turn off your laptop.
- Press and hold the F11 key while turning it back on.
- Select Windows Recovery Environment > Troubleshoot > Recovery Manager.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your laptop.
Method 2: Using Windows Recovery Environment
- Restart your laptop and press F8 repeatedly.
- Select Repair Your Computer from the Advanced Boot Options menu.
- Choose System Recovery Options and follow the steps to reset your laptop.
Method 3: Using Safe Mode
- Restart your laptop and press F8 repeatedly.
- Select Safe Mode with Command Prompt.
- Type rstrui.exe and hit Enter to start the recovery process.
