Hello, I bought second hand laptop (HP Probook 430 G5). This morning i went to Service Centre because my audio didn't work. And when i was there, the CS ask me the password of BIOS. She said my BIOS protected by password. And i don't know the password. It impossible to ask the first owner because i bought it by online. What should i do? How do i know my BIOS password?
Here the display.

Welcome to the HP Support Community @EtaRahayu
For that model you will need to contact HP in your region and they should be able to send you a customized SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

When talking to the HP rep ask them to escalate your service request.
Just to note:
Do not try removing the RTC/BIOS battery. As it will not remove the password, but it may reset the clock and as SMC files are time coded, a large disparity between the system clock and the time encoded in the SMC may cause it to fail.

Thank you for welcoming me and answer my question @REO51ST
But, is it possible to ask them to send me a customized SMC.bin file ?
Because, this morning when i ask the CS what should i do, the CS said "the motherboard should be replaced." Well, i little disapointed to heard that. 😞
And the condition is that service centre is the only one in my city. Could i just ask SMC.bin file that you suggest by online?
