Hi @Itsjusme248,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP 15 notebook PC is experiencing an issue where the bootable system files were either corrupted or are no longer recognized due to the power loss during the factory reset. Here's what you can do to resolve the "Boot System Not Found" issue.

Check the BIOS Settings:

  • Power on the laptop and immediately press Esc or F10 to access the BIOS (depending on your model).
  • In the BIOS, ensure that the hard drive or SSD is listed as the primary boot device.
  • If it’s not listed or isn’t set as the primary boot option, you might need to change the boot order to prioritize the internal drive.

Run the HP Diagnostics:

  • In the BIOS menu, navigate to Diagnostics (or System Diagnostics) and run a test for hard drive or storage issues. This can help identify if there's a hardware failure.

Try a Hard Reset:

  • Power off the laptop.
  • Disconnect any peripherals (USB drives, external monitors, etc.).
  • Remove the power cable and hold the power button for 15 seconds to drain any residual power.
  • Reconnect the power and try booting again.

Use Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE):

If the system is still not booting:

  • Power on the PC and force shutdown as soon as you see the HP logo. Repeat this process 2–3 times until you see the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) screen.
  • From there, choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair. This will attempt to fix any boot issues automatically.

Create a Bootable USB Drive:

If the above methods don’t work, you may need to create a bootable USB with Windows installation media:

  • On another working PC, download the Windows 10 or 11 installation media from the official Microsoft website.
  • Use the Media Creation Tool to create a bootable USB drive.
  • Insert the USB drive into your HP laptop, then power it on and press Esc or F9 to select the boot device.
  • Choose the USB drive as the boot option and attempt a System Repair or reinstall Windows if necessary.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
