HP Recommended

I have a HP 250 15.6 inch G9 Notebook PC and the USBC port wont support the HDMI cable to allow me to have multiple screens attached to the  laptop.  I have a USBC docking station but that wont work.  I have checked that the USBC port is ok as I have plugged a USB into the docking station and that works, so I know its the HDMI.  Is there a way to fix this?
