Hi @Stanigelinda202

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for sharing the details. I noticed the product number you entered (vnD3B6522724) is giving an error because it doesn’t match HP’s expected format for serial numbers or product numbers. HP printers usually have:

  • Serial number: Typically 10 characters, a mix of letters and numbers.
  • Product number: Usually starts with letters followed by numbers (e.g., CN123A, J9V80A).
  • Model name: Something like HP DeskJet 2130, HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130a, etc.

Before we can talk about resetting the password, I need to understand a few things about your printer:

  1. Exact printer model name – Do you see something like DeskJet, LaserJet, OfficeJet, or ENVY on the front panel?
  2. Type of password you’re trying to reset – Is this the Wi-Fi Direct password, the Embedded Web Server (EWS) admin password, or the HP Smart app account password?
  3. Where you’re entering the password – On the printer’s control panel, in the HP Smart app, or in a browser window when accessing the printer’s IP address?

Once I know these details, I can guide you with the right steps. Could you check the printer’s label (usually at the back or underneath) and tell me the model name and whether you’re dealing with a Wi-Fi password or an admin password?

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
