Hi @Alberto_Aguila,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you’re having trouble creating recovery media for your HP Pavilion 15-cw1012la using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool, and the download fails with the message “The download of image L94312-161.iso failed.” Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check internet connection stability
Make sure you are connected to a stable, high-speed internet connection.
Avoid using mobile hotspots, VPNs, or proxy networks during the download.

Run HP Cloud Recovery Tool as administrator
Right-click the HP Cloud Recovery Tool and select “Run as administrator.”
This ensures the tool has permission to download and write large recovery files.

Use a different USB flash drive
Use a blank USB drive of at least 32 GB capacity.
Format the USB drive to FAT32 before launching the recovery tool again.

Disable antivirus and firewall temporarily
Temporarily disable third-party antivirus or firewall software.
Security software can block or interrupt the ISO download process.

Check available disk space on the PC
Ensure the computer has at least 20–25 GB of free space on the system drive.
The tool needs sufficient temporary space to download and extract the recovery image.

Try a different USB port
Insert the USB drive directly into a different USB port on the laptop.
Avoid using USB hubs or extension cables during the recovery media creation.

Verify date, time, and region settings
Check that your system date, time, and region are set correctly.
Incorrect system settings can cause secure download failures.

Retry the download after restarting
Restart the laptop, reconnect to the internet, and relaunch the HP Cloud Recovery Tool.
Then re-enter the product number and try creating the recovery media again.

Try from another Windows PC
If possible, install and run the HP Cloud Recovery Tool on another Windows computer.
Use the same product number and serial number to create the recovery USB.

I hope this helps.
