If you are seeing a message directing you to visit HP TechCenter PC Diagnostics, it is likely because your HP device is suggesting that you run diagnostic tests to troubleshoot issues. Here is what you can do:
Visit the URL: Head to www.hp.com/go/techcenter/pcdiags.
Download the Software: On the HP TechCenter PC Diagnostics page, you should find options to download the diagnostic software. Look for a link or button that says "Download" or "HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows."
Install the Diagnostics Tool: After downloading, follow the on-screen instructions to install the diagnostics tool on your device.
Run Diagnostics: Once installed, open the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool. Use it to run full diagnostics on your system. This can help identify and resolve hardware issues.
Follow Recommendations: After running the diagnostics, follow the recommendations provided by the tool, whether it suggests repairs or further actions.

I have downloaded the diagnostics tool, which will not work because it says it needs to be updated by going to www.hp.com/go/techcenter/pcdiags which gives no information on how to update the diagnostics tool

@Jo7003, Thanks for getting back to us, and I totally get how frustrating that can be!
If the diagnostics tool is asking for an update but the website isn’t helping much — here’s what you can do:
Uninstall the current tool from your system.
Then, go back to www.hp.com/go/techcenter/pcdiags and download the latest version of HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows.
Once installed, run the tool again and it should work without asking for an update.
Let us know how it goes — we're here if you need any more help! 😊
Hope this helps!
