I’m getting an error message saying Unknown option ‘light-PS can someone tell me why is this happening every time I boot up please

It's likely because Windows is trying to start a certain process after booting up, but said process/program is missing/corrupted for some reason.

 

Disable all startup programs and enable them one by one until the error starts appearing again.

 

Also, could you take a screenshot please?

Hi,

It is probably some program you installed or a PUP which installed when you were downloading something and installing it.

Try opening Task Manager  (right-click on Start and click on Task Manager), if needed click on more options. Go to the Tab Startup and see what software is starting with the PC. Disable any unnecessary or dubious software from starting each time you start the PC.

Did you install any software just before this happened?
