Hi @Guiiii,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

To recover the operating system on your HP laptop, you can use the HP Recovery USB flash drive or perform a system recovery using the HP Recovery Manager. Here are the steps to follow:

Using HP Recovery USB Flash Drive

  1. Insert the HP Recovery USB Flash Drive: Before you begin, ensure you have your HP Recovery USB flash drive created using HP Cloud Recovery Download Tool.
  2. Restart the Computer: Insert the USB flash drive into your laptop and restart your computer.
  3. Access Boot Menu:
  4. If your computer has a keyboard, turn on or restart your computer, quickly press the Esc key, and then press F9 for boot options.
  5. For tablets or laptops without a keyboard, press the Volume Up or Volume Down button, then select F9.
  6. Select the USB Flash Drive: Choose the USB flash drive as the boot option and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the recovery.

Performing System Recovery Using HP Recovery Manager

  1. Open HP Recovery Manager:
  2. From the Windows screen, type "recovery" and select HP Recovery Manager.
  3. Choose System Recovery: Click on System Recovery and confirm your selection to restore your computer to its original factory condition.
  4. Follow the On-Screen Instructions: The Recovery Manager might prompt you to back up your files. Follow the instructions carefully to complete the recovery process.

Important Notes

  • Backup Your Data: Ensure all important data is backed up before proceeding as recovery will erase all files on the laptop.
  • Post-Recovery: After the recovery, you will need to reinstall any software updates and drivers that were added after purchase.

Take care and have an amazing day!
